According to the statistics of 70 countries by the World Iron and Steel Association, in June, the world crude steel output was 155.7 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.7%. The output in the first half of the year was 931.5 million tons, down by 0.7%.



China, the world's largest producer of crude steel, produced 83.7 million tons in June, up 0.4%. The output in the first half of the year was 500 million tons, down by 3.0%.


Among other Asian countries, India's output in June was 14.1 million tons, an increase of 4.5%; The output in the first half of the year was 87 million tons, an increase of 7.1%. Japan's output in June was 6.8 million tons, an increase of 1.3%; In the first half of the year, the output was 40.4 million tons, down 0.4%. South Korea's output in June was 5.3 million tons, down 0.9%; The output in the first half of the year was 31.7 million tons, up by 2.1%. Vietnam's output in June was 2.6 million tons, an increase of 27.5%; In the first half of the year, the output was 15.2 million tons, up by 26.9%, still the fastest growing country.


Turkey's output in June was 3.3 million tons, an increase of 14.7%; The output in the first half of the year was 19.8 million tons, an increase of 8.1%.


The output of the 27 EU countries in June was 10.8 million tons, an increase of 4.6%; The output in the first half of the year was 65.4 million tons, down by 0.3%. Among them, Germany's output in June was 2.9 million tons, an increase of 9.5%; The output in the first half of the year was 18.6 million tons, an increase of 8.9%.


Russia's output in June was 5.6 million tons, down 3.4%; In the first half of the year, the output was 32.1 million tons, down 8.4%.


The US output in June was 7.2 million tons, an increase of 3.5%; The output in the first half of the year was 42.8 million tons, an increase of 6.3%.


Brazil's output in June was 2.8 million tons, an increase of 0.1%; In the first half of the year, the output was 16.3 million tons, down 1.5%.
